The Laudale Estate has taken delivery of a brand new Cessna 208 Seaplane, the Spirit of Laudale. Operated by Loch Lomond Seaplanes Ltd, the aircraft is the only commercially available seaplane in the UK and one of a handful in Europe. Able to carry a maximum of 9 passengers (depending on the amount of luggage), plus pilot, the Spirit of Laudale is an unforgettable way to begin your stay at Laudale House, or truly appreciate the beauty of the surrounding area.

Laudale’s enviable position on the shores of Loch Sunart means that guests travelling to Laudale may arrange to fly in directly from Glasgow airport, with an approximate flight time of 35 minutes, or take a short 20 minute taxi journey to spectacular Loch Lomond and for the ultimate departure, experience the thrill of taking off from water, arriving at Laudale approximately 30 minutes later.

Exploring the spectacular West Coast of Scotland by seaplane is a breath-taking and awe inspiring experience that will never leave you. After taxiing into your take off position on Loch Sunart, the seaplane is essentially a boat, mixing with any other water traffic. Once the seaplane picks up speed you feel like you’re in a very fast speed boat before lifting gently off the water as the imposing and glorious Scottish landscape begins to unfold before you. As you fly your chosen route, your highly experienced Captain will point out ancient landmarks and stunning landscape features visible just below the aircraft, before returning to Loch Sunart to land gently back on its waters.
