Location

Laudale House is located on the shores of Loch Sunart on the Movern Peninsula, on the West Coast of Scotland.

Arrive by Car

Laudale is approximately 3 ½ hours drive and 140 miles from Edinburgh and approximately 3 hours drive from Glasgow. Edinburgh and Glasgow airports operate regular routes to all major UK airports and many international destinations, we can arrange a car and driver should you not wish to rent a car.

From Glasgow please merge onto the M8 towards Fort William, after 11 miles exit onto the M898 towards Erskine/ Bishopton,  which becomes the A898 after a mile, continue for a further mile when the road forks, take the left exit, A82 Crianlarich, continue following the A82  for approximately 100  miles, before turning left onto the Corran Ferry/ A861.

From Edinburgh Merge on to the M90 (Perth/ Fort William)  at Junction 10 exit towards the A9 (Stirling/ Crianlarich) continue on the M90 until the roundabout, then take the 2nd exit onto the A9 follow for 55 miles before turning left onto the A889, follow for 9 miles, then turn left onto the A86 after about 28 miles take a slight left onto the A82, follow for 16 miles until the right turn for the Corran Ferry/ A861

From Aberdeen Airport exit the airport via Argyll Road and turn left on to Dryce Drive at the roundabout take the 3rd exit, on to the A96 and follow for 33 miles to Huntly before turning onto the A920 for 17 miles. The A920 meets the A941 follow this for 8 miles, before turning left onto the A95, at the roundabouts stay on the A95 before turning right to stay on the A95. Stay on the A95 for a short distance before turning left onto the A9, then after 18 miles turn right onto the B1950, before turning left onto Station Road, then left again onto Laggan Road/ A86. Stay on the A86 for 36 miles before taking a slight left onto the A82. Stay on the A82 for 17 miles before turning right onto the A861, following signs for the ‘Corran- Ardgour Ferry’.

You will need to take the five minute crossing on the Corran Ferry, the ferry runs every 30 minutes and a timetable can be found here.

After the crossing, turn immediately LEFT at the top of the slipway on the A861. Continue along the A861 for about 12 miles following signs to Lochaline and Strontian. Eventually, you will see the head of Loch Sunart and just before you get to the loch turn LEFT onto the A884, signposted to Lochaline and Mull Ferry.

Continuing on the A884, you will pass four of the self-catering cottages before you reach a right-hand turn marked Laudale, follow the track for 3 miles when you’ll pass through Laudale’s gates.

Arrive by Seaplane

Laudale’s enviable position on the shores of Loch Sunart means that guests travelling to Laudale may arrange to fly directly in on the Estate’s own seaplane, the Spirit of Laudale. The brand new Cessna 208 is operated by Loch Lomond Seaplanes and can carry up to 9 passengers (luggage dependant), plus the pilot. Guests may fly directly from Glasgow airport, with an approximate flight time of 35 minutes, or take a short 20 minute taxi journey to spectacular Loch Lomond and for the ultimate departure, experience the thrill of taking off from water, arriving at Laudale approximately 30 minutes later.
